Badin sets information night for College Credit Plus classes

Badin High School will host a College Credit Plus (CCP) information night for students and parents on Monday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Resource Center on the second floor.

Information will be presented concerning the In-House CCP classes Badin will offer to junior and senior students next year as well as information about CCP with other local universities that can include freshman and sophomore students.

Information will also be shared concerning the academic requirements needed to qualify to take CCP classes as well as the funding application process and college acceptance process.

College Credit Plus offers the opportunity for students to take courses at their high school, online or at the local university and earn both high school and college credit. These credits are guaranteed to be transferable to all Ohio public colleges and universities by the Ohio Department of Higher Education, formerly known as the Ohio Board of Regents.

Students can qualify by obtaining the college-readiness scores on the ACT, earning the qualifying grades in English and/or Math or earning a qualifying score on the Accuplacer Test.

Sinclair Community College is our formal partner at Badin High School that will be supporting our House CCP program.

Funding for parochial school students is limited and no non-public school students are guaranteed funding. Our formal parent school, Sinclair Community College, has agreed to charge the state minimum for tuition for those students denied funding from the state of Ohio.

Students who choose to attend other colleges or universities may be charged a different tuition.
