Faith development is the cornerstone of our mission. Its focus on spiritual and moral growth and service to others welcomes all students, regardless of religious background. There is a place for everyone! As a Catholic school within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Badin is founded on faith and tradition. Roughly 85% of our students are Catholic, but all students are encouraged to fully live their own faith as they continue on their spiritual journey in high school.
Badin celebrates all-school Mass every month. Students help with the preparation and music, and gladly participate in each Mass.
Students at Badin take religion class as part of their curriculum every day and have retreat opportunities each year, with the finale of Kairos their senior year. Kairos is a wonderful experience where students explore their relationship with God and others through stories and prayer over a four day, three night off-campus retreat. Badin seniors can be seen wearing proudly their Kairos cross everywhere they go!
Campus Ministry is an active and important part of our school community. Programs allow young men and women to explore together what faith and service mean in their lives. We strongly believe that service to our community is a central part of our Catholic identity. Therefore, all students are required to perform 15 hours of service to the community, any school, parish or any non-profit organization, including Badin High School.
Many opportunities are presented to students to earn service hours during the summer and throughout the school year. Students are encouraged to participate within their own parish or church and to get involved in the community to help others less fortunate.
