Badin will award Algebra I credit for a Common Core aligned Algebra I course taken in 8th grade to students who received a 4 or higher on their Algebra I End of Course (EOC) Exam. EOC's must be taken at the student's school during the spring of 2023. Students who receive Algebra I credit have the opportunity to be placed in a Geometry course during their freshman year at Badin. EOC assessment results, along with teacher recommendations and performance on the High School Placement Test, determines the most appropriate level and course for each student. Students who attend Catholic elementary schools should contact their 8th grade Algebra I teacher or Sara Ransom, Badin's Assistant Principal | Dean of Academics if they have any additional questions about receiving Algebra I credit.
Students who have taken Spanish I during their 8th grade year may receive Spanish I credit and test into Spanish II by taking the Spanish II Placement Test at Badin High School. Additional information about testing requirements and dates will be shared on Registration Night.
