The Badin High School Counseling Department endeavors to foster the personal, social, and academic growth of each student throughout his/her school career. As a college preparatory school, part of our mission is to prepare students for the next stage of their academic journey; entrance to higher education. The road to college is one that begins the first day of high school. Counselors interact with students both individually and in group settings during all four years.
In our supportive environment, students learn to identify goals, develop strengths and eventually venture out to make confident decisions about higher education.
Upon entering ninth grade, students are assigned a high school counselor. This counselor will be assigned to the student for all four years of high school to ensure a cohesive relationship between the counselor, student and family.
As student advocates, the counselors are vested in assisting students as they face and explore the concerns that are important to their lives.
A College & Career Planning Resource for students and parents
Badin High School has chosen Naviance Family Connection to assist our students in the college and career process. Naviance is a comprehensive website that students and their parents can use as a tool in planning their future.
We are pleased to make this resource available to all of our students and families, as a complement to the series of individual consultation, college related visits, and parent information seminars that we offer throughout each school year. We encourage our students to utilize this online counseling tool as a vitalcomplement to the school counselor.
