Life has changed temporarily as we know it. Retreats have been canceled, service opportunities have been halted. But, YOU can still make a positive difference in the world around you.
When we found out about the extension of the Covid online learning situation, we knew we'd have to cancel our Freshman Retreat, our April Kairos and our April Sophomore HOPE retreat as well. A group of senior leaders accepted the challenge of offering an Online Retreat experience for our whole community! We wanted to give everyone a chance to stay in touch with the faith community of Badin, to grow in their own faith, and to have something to look forward to each day! Our leaders truly rose to the occasion! With very little notice and planning and none of us being together, things came together quite well. Truly the Holy Spirit was at work on this project with us! The response from the students, faculty / staff and even parents was fantastic! We look forward to Online Retreat Wednesdays from April 22 through the end of the year!
Everyone is welcome to take a little retreat to #findthejoy! Special thanks to our senior retreat leaders: Adam, Katilin, David, Zach, Colin, Mick, Claire, Nathan, Kevin , Kennedy, Alex, Jackson, Lizzie, Ella, Emma, Evan, Emily, Kaden, Max, and Marshall.
It definitely hurt the heart a bit to cancel all of our service opportunities when it was time to shelter-at-home, but Badin continues to be a "place" where we believe we are called to Think. Achieve. SERVE. Lead. This, including service, does not have to end when doors are closed.
Our Service Leadership Board has brainstormed some ideas of what "service" can look like with our current way of life! Check out our video below and this flyer that holds a bit more information on how we can serve our community right now (and how you can log your hours)! If you have any ideas to add or any questions at all, please reach out!

Take good care, reach out to one another, and be well!
With love and peace,
