Art from four Badin High students chosen for annual Xavier exhibition

Four Badin High students have had their art works juried into the Xavier University Biennial Regional High School Exhibition/Competition.

“That’s a terrific accomplishment for these students,” said Badin High art teacher Mrs.Sarah Daniels. “This is a difficult competition to get selected for, and to have art works from four students chosen for the event is a great compliment to their talents.”

Those whose art will be displayed include:

  • Junior Kellina Brannen. Kellina is the daughter of Donald and Michael Anne
  • Brannen of West Chester and was home schooled before attending Badin. She created a graphite landscape.
  • Senior Isabelle Munafo. Isabelle is the daughter Matt and Kim Munafo of Hamilton and a graduate of St. Peter in Chains School. She created an oil painting on canvas.
  • Junior Kaitlyn Robinson. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Scott and Emily Robinson of Hamilton and a graduate of Talawanda Middle School. She created a digital photo.
  • Junior Regan Runtz. Regan is the daughter of Allan and Jenny Runtz of Fairfield and a graduate of Sacred Heart School. She created a colored pencil drawing.

The opening reception for the exhibition is scheduled for 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, in the Xavier Gallery of the A.B. Cohen Building on Musketeer Drive. The art will be on display through Nov. 20.
