Badin High School inducted 58 students into its National Honor Society chapter during its annual evening ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Badin’s Mulcahey Gym.
“These students do an outstanding job in the classroom,” Badin High Principal Brian Pendergest said. “But they are also very well-rounded, and their performance all across the board helps make Badin an outstanding place to go to school.”
National Honor Society recognizes students who excel in academics, character, service and leadership. Tuesday’s event added 22 seniors and 36 juniors to Badin’s NHS chapter. That brings the current National Honor Society membership at Badin to 98 students, with 40 members of the Class of 2019 being tapped last year.
Seniors inducted included Lexi Berkely, Emma Broermann, Zack Brossart, Lindsay Bucalo, Carly Fields, Sara Fields, Jennifer Graber, Allison Hammerle, Emily Hare, Christopher Hetterich, Anthony Hunt, Molly Kurtz, Emily Maher, Abbey Mathias, Evan Maushart, Josie Miller, Audrey Neyer, Hannah Nugent, Jessica Rees, Brady Rolfes, Grace Tincher and Grace Wilson.
Juniors inducted included David Anthony, Lauren Barnhorn, Avery Buckle, Andrea Clark, Zoey Conrad, Laney Cosgrove, Colin Crank, Alex DeLong, Jack Feenstra, Kevin Fehring, Emma Fritsch, Will Giffen, Hannah Hartman, Kelly Havens, Nathan Hogan, Audrey Horsley, Sunny Kim, Mickayla Kowalski, Leah Krause, Claire MacGowan, Lizzie Middendorf, Ella Pohlen, Gabi Reising, Kaitlyn Robinson, Leah Ross, Adam Salek, Emily Sauer, Caitlin Savage, Nathan Schuster, Jaelynn Scowden, Megan Siefert, Max Smith, Kevin Spade, Sophie Tischler, Emma Wesner and Kennedy Wissman.
Cullen Gantenberg is president of Badin’s National Honor Society chapter. Shelby Ernst serves as vice president, Andrew Jones is treasurer and Grace Larkin is the secretary. Mr. Mark Merz and Mrs. Cindy Minton are Badin’s NHS faculty moderators.
