Badin High School inducted 57 students into its National Honor Society chapter during its annual evening ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 24, in Badin’s Mulcahey Gym.
“These students do an outstanding job in the classroom,” Badin High Principal Brian Pendergest said. “But they are also very well-rounded, and their performance all across the board helps make Badin an outstanding place to go to school.”
National Honor Society recognizes students who excel in academics, character, service and leadership. Tuesday’s event added 15 seniors and 42 juniors to Badin’s NHS chapter. That brings the current National Honor Society membership at Badin to 93 students, with 36 members of the Class of 2020 being tapped last year.
Seniors inducted included Will Blanton, Isabel Ely, Marshall Flaig, Karla Garcia, Josh Hegemann, Makenna Holian, Ellie King, Anna LaPere, Jackson Long, Jada Lucas, Katie Schuler, Kateri Wielgos, Kaitlyn Wilms, Brooke Wolterman and Evie Wurzelbacher.
Juniors inducted included Kailynn Berger, Tate Brandabur, Nathan Cogan, Kaitlyn Covey, Brandon Du, Tracy Fields, McKenna Francis, Logan Hage, Grace Harris, Isabelle Helton, Alexis Herold, Tommy Hogan, Audrey Hood, Meghan Huff, Caroline Hughes, Kennedy Jarvis, Abby Johnson, Caroline Kammerer, Ryan Kirkendall, Johnathan Kline, Ryan Kraemer, Paul Marot, James Martin, Zach McElfresh, Ashley McKinney, Griffin Meyer, Hannah Moss, Tatum Oliver, Eli Pappas, Mitchell Peel, Jessica Rosteutscher, Samantha Schutter, Michael Schweinefuss, David Schweinefuss, Caitlin Smith, Maddie Thompson, Emma Trusock, Isaac Wesner, Isabella Williams, Taylor Wissman, Nick Young and Ava Zettler.
Will Giffen is president of Badin’s National Honor Society chapter. Sophie Tischler is the vice president/service coordinator; Emily Sauer is the secretary and Lauren Barnhorn the historian. Mr. Mark Merz and Mrs. Cindy Minton are Badin’s NHS faculty moderators.
