This unifying day is set aside just for our freshman during their first semester at Badin. With our senior leaders, the freshmen are given the opportunity to think about their lives and the lives of the their classmates. Using Dr. Seuss stories, poems and quotes as our basis the members of our freshman class participate in prayer services, small group activities, large group games and a variety of other activities. This event is held in the PFAC and is facilitated by the Director of Campus Ministry and some of the freshmen teachers!

The theme of the freshman retreat, held at Camp Campbell Gard is “FAITH: in yourself, others, and God!” Students spend half of their day doing the ROPES course and the other in small group faith discussions. Freshman retreats are gender-specific.
Badin sophomores spend a one-day retreat off campus themed “In God’s Image!” Through witness talks, small group discussions and large group activities, sophomores are given an opportunity to grow in their understanding of acceptance, love and respect. The retreat is led by members of the senior class and sophomores are able to share in an environment that is fun, open, reflective and prayerful.
Sept 12 & 13, 2016
This optional overnight retreat takes place at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford, Ohio. Led by a team of 7 senior and 3 faculty leaders, juniors who choose to attend are given an opportunity to consider where we find true JOY in life. It has been said that only by giving time to Jesus, Others, and Yourself can you find true JOY in life. Through witness talks, personal reflection and small group meetings, students grow both individually and as a class.

This required retreat is a 3-night, 4-day retreat led by student’s peers and teachers. All members of the senior class make a Kairos retreat at some point in the senior year. This retreat is an opportunity for students to look at Christ in their lives and their relationships with friends and family. Discovery of the focus of Kairos is a process; each activity builds upon the others and leads to future activities. There are numerous ‘surprises’ that come at specific points in the retreat for very specific purposes! Spiritual, personal, and emotional growth, are all goals of this retreat.

An overnight retreat ON CAMPUS held each October to promote homeless awareness.

A new mini-mission trip which takes place in Somerset, KY at St. Mildred Catholic Parish. Students have an opportunity to work together to make a difference for families in need in an Appalachian community. Students who are juniors are invited to attend as their Religion Curriculum includes Christian Social Justice and this trip goes hand-in-hand with the lessons of their course.

A one day retreat held in the spring and sponsored by the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford.
